TOURIST INFORMATION |
GANDIA |
|
|
Gandia, The heart of the Safor
district, enjoys a privileged location between the sea and mountains.
Towards the north of the town, we find its splendid, broad beaches.
It also has rugged hill and mountain ranges, particularly the Montduver,
the Barranc de I'Infern and the Circo de La Safor. There are market
gardens along the banks of the river Serpis.
Gandia has an interesting town centre, with several historical buildings:
the Collegiate Church, the Convent of Santa Clara, the Dukes' Palace,
the hermitage of Santa Ana, the Town Hall and the Archaeological Museum.
Gandia offers an excellent local cuisine thanks to the natural products
of its coast and market gardens.
