Javea is
a fishing and tourist town, with a coast of 25 km of beaches, coves
and cliffs, situted between the capes of San Antonio and La Nao and
protected by the Montgo massif.
It conserves its interesting historical nucleus, featuring the fortresschurch
of San Bartolome and the House of Felipe Bañuls. The church
of Santa Maria de Loreto should be visited in the fishing and tourist
neighbourood of Aduanas del Mar. The Natural Park of Montgo (Les Planes)
has windmills from the 14th to 18th centuries. El Arenal is the fashionable
shopping and holiday centre, with facilities for practising various
sports.
