Denia, located
at the foot the Montgo massif, offers the pleasures of the sea and
the hills. It is very pleasant to strol around the seaside neighbourhoods
of Baix La Mar and Les Roques, which are like small villages within
the town. Also worth visiting are the towers, the town walls and the
Governor's Palace, with its Archaeological Museum. There is also a
small train that climbs up to the Castle.
Denia has beaches for all tastes: full of life, with fine sand, solitary
coves, etc. It has peaceful spots for diving of fishing, a golf club,
and a sports harbourd and sailing club. Denia offers nightlife in
its terraces, discotheques, bars and pubs - but only after a good
dinner, for not for nothing is Denia considered the gastronomic capital
of the Costa Blanca.
